Jesus called His believers to a great and glorious mission:
Go and make disciples of all nations. Matthew 28:19
God has called us to missions both locally, in our neighborhoods and in our country, and globally. Therefore, we highly value our missional partners and see them as essential components of the church.
We’ve teamed up with various ministries and nonprofit organizations in the Atlanta area, and we hope to continue to partner with them to minister to the underserved. Journey is also committed to sending teams to locations all around the world on short-term (weeks to months) and long-term (one year or more) trips. If you would like to donate to our general missions fund, please send money via PayPal to email@example.com.
But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare. Jeremiah 29:7 ESV
City of Refuge exists to bring light, hope, and transformation to individuals and families of Atlanta. We partner with people in crisis to help break the cycle of poverty through services in health & wellness, housing, human trafficking intervention, vocational training and youth development.
City Hope Community’s mission is to mobilize and unite individuals and churches in taking up the care and cause of the socially vulnerable. We long to see communities where members can flourish and extend God’s love as salt and light to the world.
Originally part of the Journey Church of Atlanta’s planting team, Dave was sent out to plant a church in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. Journey Community Church opened its doors in the fall of 2011. They minister on the campuses of Duke, UNC, and NC State and among many families in the area.
Pastor Nate and Grace
After serving for five years at Journey, Nate moved to Southeast Asia as a one-year pastoral intern. While visiting Korea for Christmas, he met his future wife and the two of them returned to the field together following their honeymoon. Two and a half years later, their son Musa was born! They are currently back in the US pursuing further ministry education and training.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8
In Asia: Esther and Reo
Having been with Journey since her college years, Esther was sent out in 2014 as a full-time missionary to a country in Asia (location censored for protection). If you'd like to financially support Esther, please use the Donate button below. You can make a one-time donation or a recurring monthly donation.
In Southeast Asia
Pastor Paul and Ailsa, with children Hannah, Caitlyn, and Olivia, moved to Singapore in January 2015 to launch Grace Covenant Church Singapore. The vision of the church is to be 'holy ground in the busy city' -- a place where people might hear the voice of God calling them to freedom and purpose. Previously, Paul and Ailsa served as missionaries in Southeast Asia and long to see a healthy church that blesses the nations in and around Singapore.
